Cops Caring for Cops
Mission Statement
Cops Caring For Cops was created to support members of the Cincinnati Police Department diagnosed and living with cancer. Cops Caring For Cops assists any department member diagnosed with cancer, regardless of type, cover the remaining calendar year deductible, directly related to medical expenses incurred with treatment needed. Our foundation aims to deliver widespread awareness surrounding all cancers and to one day end this deadly disease, all together.
Our President
Alicia Henson is a 7-year veteran with the Cincinnati Police Department and a 22- year veteran in public safety. She has extensive experience serving in leadership roles as EMS Coordinator with the City of Mountain View Fire Department, UC Physicians and Butler Technology, Alicia has previously served as Race Director for the Inaugural Cops for A Cure 5K, and as former Regatta Director with Cincinnati Rowing Club. “As a cancer thriver, being able to support my brothers and sisters battling this deadly disease is a gift. Being able to share my story to help raise awareness, and raise money for our officers, is a small way I can give back. No one fights alone.”
